U-WIN is recognized as the world's largest Electronic Immunization Registry, primarily designed for the registration of pregnant women and children. Its objective is to establish an effective digital tracking system for vaccination status, thereby contributing to the reduction of zero-dose children and enhancing immunization coverage.

This initiative, part of India’s broader effort to digitize its Universal Immunization Programme (UIP), is being implemented by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The system facilitates comprehensive data collection, including registration of pregnant women, recording delivery outcomes, registering newborns, administering birth doses, and tracking subsequent vaccination events.

The U-WIN citizen application provides a user-friendly platform for eligible beneficiaries to register their pregnant women and children. Through the app, users can locate the nearest vaccination centers via district, sub-district, or PIN code searches. It also offers appointment booking and provides digital vaccination certificates for children and pregnant women.

Additionally, the app allows users to create an ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) for registered beneficiaries and check upcoming vaccination schedules. In case of any issues or grievances, users can directly raise concerns through the application, ensuring continuous engagement and support.
